Jersey stopover

 Hotels

Our recommended hotel very close to where the boats will be moored (about 5 minutes walk) is the Royal Yacht Hotel which is offering an unbeatable rate of £30 per person for bed and breakfast. The Royal Yacht is Jersey's oldest hotel dating back to the 1820's and today offers all the modern comforts with a decor in keeping with its Victorian roots. The four star hotel features a choice of 4 bars, a grill room and a restaurant. Bookings can be made on line at http://www.theroyalyachthotel.com using the discount code "Clipper 1". [Update: This hotel is now full for the stopover]

Across the road from the Royal Yacht with views overlooking the marina is the Pomme D'Or. This recently refurbished four star hotel has been a favourite with Clipper crews during the 2001 and 2003 stopovers. There are no special Clipper discounts but expect to pay approximately £55 per person per night based on 2 sharing.  http://www.seymourhotels.com/pomme

There are further options from the Morvan Group of Hotels who are offering 10% off bookings at a selection of their hotels when you quote "Clipper".  Their hotels include the Norfolk Lodge (2 sun, town outskirts), the Fort d'Auvergne Hotel (2 sun, nearby), the Uplands Hotel (3 sun, town outskirts), the The Monterey Hotel (3 sun, town outskirts) and the Samares Coast Hotel & Apartments (3 sun, out of town).  Each property has a pool (or two!) and bookings can be made online at http://www.morvanhotels.com/

Just outside the town is an ever popular hotel with families - the Merton which has its own Aquadome. Room rates start at £57 bed and breakfast pppn. There is no Clipper discount, but they do a good rate if you're staying for a week. Book online at http://www.seymourhotels.com/merton

There are many other hotels in the island offering the full range from cheap and cheerful to seriously luxurious. For the full range please visit http://www.jersey.com/Booking/Jerseydirect.asp

 Self catering

A popular option particularly if you are travelling as a family is to enjoy one of Jersey's many self catering apartments. Please view the range at http://www.freedomholidays.com/property_guide_new.htm

 Special Offers

It is worth checking with your local travel agent and looking at special offers. We've heard of good deals such as 8 days in Jersey including 6 nights bed and breakfast in a hotel and return flights from Manchester or Liverpool for £299.

 Camping

We know that some of the visitors to our stopover will be having a fun time at one of Jersey's four camp sites, Beavelande (http://www.campingjersey.com/), Bleu Soleil (http://www.bleusoleilcamping.com/), Rose Farm (http://www.jerseycamping.com/) and Rozel Camping Park (http://jerseyisland.com/country/rozelcamping/)

At each site you can bring your own tent or hire a fully equipped, pre-erected tent.

During the stopover Rose Farm are offering a 20% discount off their published rates if you email clipper@jerseycamping.com
